Tips: How to set up and use multiple accounts on Amazon Echo

What is Amazon Echo ?

- - With seven built-in microphones and beaming forming technology, Amazon Echo is a great device that can hear you from across the room. The tuned speaker is able to fill the atmosphere with 360°immersive sound. Totally hands-free speaker, controlled by your voice, Echo has easy connection to he Alexa Voice Service to play music, provide information, news, sports scores, weather et cetera.

Seeing that Amazon Echo provides great fun and incredible features, you probably need easy setup to enjoy the functions with great conveniences. View some simple guidelines on how to set up Amazon Echo in the following.

1.  How to set up your new Amazon Echo?

Step 1:  Visit app store, such as Apple App Store, Google Play, Amazon Appstore on your mobile device and search for "Alexa app." Then select and download the Alexa app, and then sign in ( Alexa app is compatible with systems Fire OS 2.0 or higher, Android 4.4 or higher and iOS 8.0 or higher).On the other hand, you may visit https://alexa.amazon.com from Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or Internet Explorer (at least 10th Gen) on your Wi-Fi enabled computer, to download the Alexa app.

Kind reminder: the Alexa app is found to be incompatible with Kindle Fire (1st and 2nd Gens), Kindle Fire HD 7” (2nd Gen) and Kindle Fire HD 8.9” (2nd Gen) tablets

After downloading the app, turn on Amazon Echo.

Step 2:  Use the included power adapter to connect Echo to an electrical outlet. The light on Echo will turn blue and then orange, then connect Echo to a Wi-Fi network with the help of the instructions in the app. In case the Wi-Fi network is not easily connected as expected, you might as well unplug and plug the device again to restart it. Moreover, you can reset Echo to factory default settings and try again.

Step 3:  Now, talk to Alexa:

With its connection to Wi-Fi network, start using Echo by saying the "wake word" . And Echo will respond to the wake word "Alexa" by default. The "wake word" can be freely changed in the Settings in the app.

2.  How to use multiple accounts on Amazon Echo?

It'll be as easy as pie to add a new user to Echo's household profile.

Open the Alexa app, alternatively visit echo.amazon.com through a browser in your computer.

The next step is to scroll to the bottom of settings, locate Household Profile.

Sign in with your login information. And the click Continue on the next page.

Fill in the new user's login information(you may let the new user use your device to do so), then click Join Household.

By doing this, you can easily use multiple accounts on Amazon Echo.

3.  How to set up Amazon Echo with Philips Hue?

First, get these prepared: an Amazon Echo, an Internet connection, Philips Hue bulbs, a Philips Hue bridge, and a device that is capable of installing apps.

Secondly: install the bulbs somewhere you prefer in your house.

Thirdly: take your bridge and connect it to your wireless router via a wired connection.

Then, open the app and find your bridge, and connect your bridge to your device.

Next, make sure your Echo is on and is listening to your voice:“Alexa, discover my devices.”Generally speaking, there will be no issues for the connection of the bridge and your Echo. You can try to reset both your Echo and your bridge to solve issues if the connection is not that smoothly done..
